It is very important for us to have this information so we can ensure that our Council Core Leadership Area Directors can communicate with their counterparts in each of our 28 chapters. If you have not submitted your Board Roster, please send it to secretary@hrflorida.org. Specific items needed are: Name, Board Title, e-mail address. Wow, what a great state leadership conference we had on January 7th. With over 204 chapter leaders in attendance, the day was chock full of education, networking and of course, fun! Many, many thanks to our president-elect Joyce Chastain, SPHR and our wonderful district director team for working so hard to provide an outstanding conference experience. I for one will always remember to say, yes, Yes, YES! As we announced at the January council meeting, our mission for 2012 is “to be the catalyst for shaping energetic, educated and engaged HR professionals who have an influence on the profession and the organizations they serve.” To meet this mission, we intend to:

We are pleased to announce our second annual DAY ON THE HILL event in Tallahassee, FL from February 15-16, 2012! We need your help introducing our legislators to HR Florida, educating them how we can be a valuable resource on legislation affecting the workplace, and shaping that legislation of concern to our profession. Attendees at this event will have opportunities to meet with their legislators and/or their staff to advocate on public policy issues of importance to the HR profession. SHRM and HR Florida will prepare attendees for their afternoon meetings on the Hill and will provide assistance in setting up those meetings. Please make sure to click through to read all about this event. Membership InitiativeCalling all state of Florida SHRM Chapter Membership Directors! On Tuesday, February 7th, HR Florida will be having a Membership CLA conference call which will provide details on our membership incentie contest for 2012. The only way for Chapter Membership Directors to get information on this exciting program is to participate on the call. Presidents and/or Membership Directors are strongly encouraged to attend.
